The primary approach to treatment is using Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Behavioural Therapy, treatments shown by research to be effective in treating anxiety and depression. (C)BT is goal-oriented and involves active participation both within sessions and between sessions. Tracking progress is also important to better ensure you are achieving the changes you are seeking through treatment. Children and teens are provided skills for challenging themselves one-step-at-a-time in order to get back to daily activities. Parents and teachers also play a large role in treatment and are provided strategies to support children and teens at home and at school.
